On November 16, 2023, American Academy Holdings, LLC, doing business as AAPC, announced the successful acquisition of Semantic Health Inc. (“Semantic Health”), an early-stage healthcare technology company focused on creating AI-powered inpatient medical auditing software for health insurance plans and hospitals.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

AAPC is the world's largest training and credentialing organization for the business of healthcare, with members worldwide working in medical coding, billing, auditing, compliance, clinical documentation improvement, revenue cycle management, and practice management.
