On August 16, 2022, Benford Capital Partners, a Chicago-based private equity investment firm, recapitalized Gum Products International, Inc. (“GPI”). GPI is a leading B2B food ingredients company, focusing on proprietary hydrocolloid blends, vinegar-based antimicrobials, and other functional food ingredients and processing agents for a global customer base in North and South America, Europe and Asia. The recapitalization was completed in partnership with GPI CEO and Founder, Kenneth Tan, who will continue to lead GPI post-closing.
