On July 1, 2022, TDL Canada, based in Trenton, Ontario, announced the acquisition of Gentek Marketing Inc., a Concord, Ontario-based distributor of unified communications and connectivity products. The transaction created a combined entity named TDL Gentek, led by Jeff McInnis, former CEO of Gentek, as President, reporting to Laurie Tugman, CEO of TDL.

This merger brought together over 80 years of experience from two family-founded Canadian companies, positioning TDL Gentek as a leading distribution powerhouse with the assets and capabilities to deliver nationwide support to customers, vendors, and partners. The transaction value was not disclosed.
