On August 7, 2024, TMX Group Limited announced its acquisition of Newsfile Corp., Canada's largest news dissemination and regulatory filing provider, to enhance its Capital Formation business. The transaction, valued at an undisclosed amount, aligns with TMX Group's commitment to delivering superior products and services to its clients. Established in 1997, Newsfile serves over 2,500 public and private clients, offering comprehensive disclosure solutions, including news release distribution and SEDAR+, EDGAR, and XBRL filings.

Loui Anastasopoulos, CEO of Toronto Stock Exchange and Global Head of Capital Formation at TMX Group, emphasized that the acquisition strengthens TMX's service offerings beyond traditional listings.
