On February 5, 2024, Cogeco Communications Inc. (TSX: CCA) announced that Cogeco Connexion acquired Niagara Regional Broadband Network (NRBN), an internet, telephone, and television service provider in the Niagara Region. The City of Niagara Falls and the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, the sellers, will retain minority shares in NRBN. The acquisition, which aims to bolster Cogeco’s presence in the region, is set to support the growth of NRBN.
