On December 20, 2023, Medline Canada, a leading healthcare supplies and equipment manufacturer and distributor, entered into a definitive share purchase agreement to acquire all issued and outstanding shares of Vancouver-based Sinclair Dental, Canada’s largest independent dental supplies and equipment distributor. The transaction’s value was not disclosed. The deal's completion, expected in Q1 2024, is subject to regulatory approval under the Competition Act (Canada) and other customary closing conditions.

Sinclair Dental operates 11 facilities across Canada, employing 530 staff focused on advanced dentistry requirements, renowned for its customer service, technical support, clinic design, and supply of high-tech equipment and software. John Morrison, COO of Sinclair Dental, emphasized that the acquisition by Medline Canada would strengthen their market position and ensure continued growth and service excellence, in line with the vision of Sinclair Dental’s owners, Goli Nowtash and the late Dr. Arjang Nowtash.

Ernie Philip, President of Medline Canada, stated that Sinclair Dental’s integration would align well with Medline's CARES culture, enhancing their position among Canadian dental suppliers.
