On January 9, 2024, Ferguson plc, the UK-based parent company of Wolseley Canada, signed a definitive purchase agreement to acquire Yorkwest Plumbing Supply Inc. Yorkwest, a distributor of plumbing, hydronics, HVAC, and industrial products since 1990, operated four locations across the Greater Toronto Area: Woodbridge, Toronto, Barrie, and Stoney Creek. Each location featured a kitchen and bath showroom branded as Atlantis Bath Centre. The acquisition aimed to integrate Yorkwest’s operations into Wolseley Canada, enhancing its market presence in Canada. Legal advisor for Ferguson plc/Wolseley Canada was Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg, and Yorkwest was advised by Stikeman Elliott. The transaction value was undisclosed.
