On May 1, 2023, Fluid System Components (“FSC”) announced the acquisition of Norcan Fluid Power Company (“Norcan”), a fluid power distributor serving multiple mobile and industrial industries across Western Canada.

FSC worked with KPMG Corporate Finance Inc., which acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Norcan.

Akin advised FSC with a team led by corporate & finance partners Thomas Yang and Ashton Barrineau Butcher, with associates Penelope Shumway and Hannah Bush, with assistance from labor and employment partner Desiree Busching, tax partner Julia Pashin, environment and natural resources partner David Quigley and senior counsel Andrew Oelz, and real estate counsel Alex Agahzadeh.
