Gold Fields acquires 50 percent stake in Osisko partnership to develop Windfall project in Quebec

On May  2, 2023, Gold Fields Limited ("Gold Fields") acquired a 50 percent interest in a partnership with Osisko Mining Inc. ("Osisko") to develop and mine the underground Windfall gold project in Quebec, Canada (the “JV Transaction”). This joint venture is now known as the Windfall Mining Group.

Under the terms of the JV Transaction, Gold Fields, through a 100 percent held Canadian subsidiary, acquired a 50 percent interest in the feasibility stage of the Windfall project and a 50 percent interest in the highly prospective Urban Barry and Quévillon district exploration camps.

Gold Fields Limited is a globally diversified gold producer with nine operating mines in Australia, South Africa, Ghana, Peru and an advanced development project in Chile. Osisko is a mineral exploration company focused on the acquisition, exploration, and development of precious metal resource properties in Canada.
