Ardian and Indigo Group form Canadian joint venture, Clermont

On March 25, 2024, Ardian, a leading private investment house, and Indigo Group, a global urban mobility player, announced the formation of Clermont, a new Canadian joint venture aimed at investing in parking assets. Indigo contributed its Canadian-owned properties to Clermont while retaining operational control through Indigo Park Canada. Ardian supported Clermont’s digitization and sustainability initiatives, intending to drive value creation. Both companies committed to deploying additional equity for acquiring parking assets, long-term concessions, and leases, with Indigo managing the operations.

Clermont will be led by CEO Gordon Craig, a seasoned industry professional with nearly 30 years of experience, including roles as President of Canadian operations and COO of North America for Imperial Parking (Impark). The partnership continues a long-standing collaboration between Ardian and Indigo, which began in 2014.

Stefano Mion, Co-Head of Infrastructure Americas at Ardian, expressed excitement about the venture, emphasizing their track record in developing sustainable and digital-first infrastructure assets. John Laires, CEO of Indigo Park Canada, highlighted the opportunity to expand Indigo's footprint in Canada and unlock value in the growing parking asset portfolio. Gordon Craig, CEO of Clermont, anticipated offering innovative, digitally driven, and sustainable parking operations that enhance customer experience.
