On February 7, 2024, Apogee Interactive (Brillion) announced the acquisition of EnergyX Solutions, Inc., an Ontario-based AI-powered software creator for utilities. This transaction, which also includes the backing of M33 Growth, marks Apogee's third acquisition within a year, furthering its strategy to provide comprehensive solutions for utility customer engagement. EnergyX's RetrofitAI technology will allow utilities to conduct large-scale, cost-effective virtual building audits, enhancing customer segmentation and energy efficiency program uptake.

Nishaant Sangaavi, President of EnergyX, highlighted the synergy between the companies in driving energy savings programs. Jon Ezrine, CEO of Apogee Interactive, emphasized that this acquisition would help utilities tackle the complexities of promoting energy programs. The transaction value was not disclosed. Legal advisors for the deal included prominent firms representing both parties, ensuring a smooth acquisition process.

Apogee Interactive, founded in 1993, provides customer engagement software for utilities, while EnergyX Solutions specializes in data-driven energy efficiency programs. M33 Growth, a growth-stage investment firm, supports the combined organization to scale its market presence.
