MoonPay acquires Web3 creative agency Nightshift, rebrands to Otherlife

On January 19, 2023, MoonPay, a Web3 infrastructure company, acquired Toronto-based Web3 creative agency Nightshift, rebranding it to Otherlife. The transaction aims to enhance MoonPay's service offerings for brands entering the Web3 space, providing comprehensive end-to-end support. The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Nightshift, known for its creative work with Web3-native clients such as Coinbase, Adam Bomb Squad, and OpenSea, as well as traditional clients like Arsenal Football Club, Shopify, and Playboy, will continue to serve its clients under the new name, Otherlife. MoonPay CEO Ivan Soto-Wright praised the agency, highlighting its role in unlocking new revenue through innovative Web3 products and experiences.

Otherlife's rebranding reflects its commitment to innovation and staying at the forefront of the Web3 industry. Michael Moodie, Otherlife's Creative Director and Co-Founder, emphasized the agency's dedication to pushing creative boundaries. Michael Perrow, Otherlife's CEO and Co-Founder, expressed enthusiasm for MoonPay's infrastructure, which will support their expanding client roster.

The acquisition aligns with MoonPay's strategy to simplify Web3 adoption for brands, demonstrated by initiatives like HyperMint, a smart contract platform launched in June 2022, and partnerships with entities like Universal Parks and Resorts.
