This is the largest infrastructure project initiated in recent Canadian history and involves the design, construction, financing, and operation of a 1000-kilometer electrified rail network connecting Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal, and Québec City, a corridor containing approximately 40% of the population of Canada. It is the first national and the largest progressive procurement ever attempted in Canada and will introduce several innovations never attempted in this country.  The project is also structured as a revenue deal or concession, which constitutes a departure from most Canadian public-private partnerships.

Dentons will provide legal advice and services to the Department of Justice Canada and Transport Canada in connection with the structuring and procurement of the High Frequency Rail Project.
