On January 25, 2022, Daylight Automation, Inc. has acquired Proof Data Technology, Inc., a provider of a cloud-based platform designed to modernize government processes through digital paperwork and approvals tracking. This acquisition follows Daylight's successful Series A funding in September 2021 and marks a significant step in its growth strategy.

Proof's technology facilitates secure, digital routing of documents across departments, primarily serving the Government of Canada. With this acquisition, Proof's co-founders, Ben Sanders and Wesley George, will join Daylight's leadership team as Vice President of Business Development and Vice President of Solutions Engineering, respectively. Their roles will focus on expanding Daylight's business and enhancing its technological offerings.

Sanders, with his experience from co-founding Clearco, will drive new partnerships across various industries, while George will lead the solutions engineering team to develop additional features for Daylight's platform.

The acquisition aims to bolster Daylight's digital transformation capabilities, leveraging Proof's expertise to deepen knowledge and improve service resilience. Daylight plans to use this new asset to expand operations into the U.S. market and continue providing advanced digital solutions to its enterprise clients like BMO Financial Group and Shoppers Drug Mart.

Proof will be rebranded to Daylight by March 31, 2022.
