On November 16, 2023, Behaviour Interactive, Canada's largest video game developer, announced the acquisition of Dutch game developer Codeglue, marking Behaviour's third European expansion in six months and its first presence in continental Europe. This acquisition, valued at undisclosed terms, involves the integration of Codeglue's 30 employees into Behaviour's world-class Services division under the new name Behaviour Rotterdam. Codeglue, established in 2000 in Rotterdam by Maurice Sibrandi and Peter de Jong, is celebrated for its co-development expertise across various platforms and was recognized as Best Studio at the 2022 Dutch Game Awards.

Rémi Racine, Co-Founder, CEO, and Executive Producer of Behaviour, emphasized the strategic alignment and cultural fit between the companies, enhancing Behaviour’s capabilities in Europe. The acquisition follows the establishment of Behaviour UK – North and Behaviour UK – South, aimed at bolstering the company’s external development services. Legal advisement for the transaction was provided by undisclosed firms. Peter de Jong, now General Manager of Behaviour Rotterdam, expressed enthusiasm about joining a company that mirrors Codeglue in its adaptation to the gaming industry's evolutions over the past 23 years. Founded in 1992, Behaviour has significantly expanded from its Montreal headquarters, developing a reputation for innovative games like Dead by Daylight™ and supporting major industry leaders.
