The gala recognizing Canada's top lawyers 40 and under will take place on November 19, 2024 in Toronto
Registration for tables and single tickets is now open for Lexpert’s Rising Stars awards, the annual celebration of lawyers 40 and under in Canada who have made outstanding contributions in their careers to date.
This year’s highly anticipated awards gala will take place on November 19, 2024, at the Liberty Grand in Toronto. Winners will be revealed at the event and profiled in the November issue of Lexpert magazine.
The winners were selected by Lexpert’s advisory panel of legal leaders.
Earlier this year, Lexpert invited members of the legal profession to nominate young Canadian lawyers from law firms, organizations, and in-house departments with stellar accomplishments in the early part of their careers.
The gala will be hosted by Melissa Leong, one of Canada’s most beloved authorities on personal finance. A national media personality, bestselling author, and the resident money expert on CTV’s The Social, Canada’s leading daytime talk show, Leong previously spent two decades as a print journalist at The National Post, The Toronto Star, and The Globe and Mail, covering politics, terrorism, crime, arts, and business.
Mohammad Ali Raza, a partner at Cox & Palmer who was named a Rising Star in 2023, says, "For me, the award was a humbling validation of several years of effort that me and my support system (comprising of multiple actors, including, my wife, mentors and partners) had spent in developing my career in this profession. Truly, nothing better than being acknowledged by your own peers.
"Congratulations to all the deserving winners and nominees!" Raza says.
November’s gala will include complimentary parking, a cocktail reception, dinner banquet, and post-party celebration.
